Thanks For Reading My Story

     Hello, I am John Devecka (but feel free to call me Johnny). I am a 21-year-old student and Part 107 remote pilot at Pepperdine University with a strong passion for cinematography. I am about to begin my Senior year in University, but before (and during) my time at Pepperdine, I have been a cinematographer and photographer for various companies and nonprofits. In February 2021, I launched John Devecka Films (originally known as JLD Photography and Meridian Pictures), which was featured in the official community magazine for Ladera Ranch. It has since accumulated various accolades and clients, with content being published in print, digital articles, and cable television. After a series of Cinematography, Production, and Digital Photography classes in both high school and University, I am looking to continue building my portfolio in order to gain hands-on experience in the field. I strive to continue pursuing my passion, and use John Devecka Films as a platform to connect people together through the world of cinematography. I hope to show not just my work through this site, but my dedication and commitment to the craft, plus the journey ahead--which, I would be glad to explore with you.
